Pick Yourself Up When You Are Down
When nothing goes the way you want it to, it can be normal to feel down. We have days where we don’t want to do anything, but that is okay. We are allowed to have those days, as long as you pick yourself up when you are down. Life is a struggle. It is how we get through it that matters the most. Doing nothing is not a solution and will not get you through the struggle. You need to brainstorm ways to solve a problem.
Only you can have the strength to achieve your goal. Whether it be education, job, relationship, etc. You’re probably thinking that is easy for me to say this. It isn’t. I have been through my struggles.
I am not the type of person that verbalizes how I feel out loud. I feel that writing my feelings down does a better job in expressing how I really feel. I have been working on building an online business and I feel like I have been pulled back and forth. I still have a physical job I have to go to. Lately, I have been exhausted trying to juggle two careers.
Sometimes, I get impatient because my online business is not up and running as fast as I want. I know that with any business, it takes time for it to become successful. I get discouraged, but it makes me work harder when I do have the time.
I think back to when I was in college. There were times when I was not interested in a class. I thought about dropping the class, but what good would it had done? I would have to take it again in the future. Why not get it over with, so that was one class I don’t have to take again? The faster I completed the class, the closer I get to doing what I want.
Growing up, I never had any support from my mom. She was pretty negative towards me. Any time I did something well, she would find something negative to say. You would think that would have discouraged me, but it had an opposite effect on me.
I made it my goal to never be like her. From when I moved out of my parent’s house, that was when I found my courage to do great things with my life. I realized I can only count on myself to achieve what I wanted to do. It was rough living on my own, but leaving the environment that was bringing me down was the best thing I had done in my life.
I never expected everything to be handed to me. I think that was what made me a honest, hard working and motivated person. Although I am not able to spend a lot of time working on building my business online, I know that I will be able to find more time soon. I have to stay positive, surround myself with positive people and stay focused. We have to set goals for ourselves. If something doesn’t work, we can change them so it will work. It is okay to feel down, as long as you pick yourself back up.
